Day of wheat and barley fields

Day of wheat and barley fields brought together many partners, friends and interested parties giving them the opportunity to visit fields with different varieties of wheat and barley that can be found in Delta Agrar’s product range for the season 2016/2017. During the event all product that Delta Agrar already in cooperation with the Austrian company Saatzucht Donau produces and distributes on our market were presented. At the same time, the beginning of cooperation with a new partner - KWS, which was contracted to the general distribution of their two varieties of wheat - Solehio and Modern was announced.

Representatives of Saatzucht Donau presented Balaton variety which is so far the best-selling variety of wheat in Delta's program. Furthermore they presented the variety Komarom that received a medal for quality at the 83rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, as well as two new varieties - Amicus and Carmina, barley variety with high yield and high protein content.

Visitors were introduced with five new varieties of KWS wheat. Solehio and Modern, medium-late varieties that give excellent results in stress conditions and on light soils, attracted most attention. While expressed tillering and feel are characteristic for Solehio, Modern is known as an intensive variety of good quality flour registered in 2014.
