Day of Selsem soybeans fields

STARA PAZOVA, 02nd September 2016 - Delta Agrar has organized the Day of Selsem soybean fields on “Napredak” estate in Stara Pazova where basic ground for testing and selection of new materials of Selsem brand was presented.

Traditionally organized Day of soybean fields brought together many partners, friends and interested parties giving them the opportunity to visit different experimental fields of Selsem soybean varieties placed on a total area of 8 ha. Eight varieties registered in Serbia were presented: Galeb as a top-selling variety in Serbia, Dukat, Gorstak, Voloda, Biser, Beta, as well as two new sorts - Panonka and Pelikan. These two varieties, which belong to early maturity groups, were registered at the end of last year, and from 2017 will be introduced in the production.

In addition to registered varieties, visitors were able to see and 16 promising lines some of which are in process of recognition in Serbia, EU, Italy and Ukraine, while others are still in the process of testing. On all lots overall agricultural technology is applied on time and the earliest variety Vidra has already been mowed down and gave a 3.2 t / ha.

Delta Agrar is an exclusive distributor of Selsem brand since 2005, while the brand became an integral part of Delta Seeds from 2011. Delta Agrar’s varieties are recognized in Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and Italy, the leading country in domain of achieved average yields of soybeans and sown areas. In the future, the company will strive to intensively work on the amendment of the existing assortment and registration of new varieties of different maturity groups and phenotypic characteristics in Serbia, but also on foreign markets.
